Time Clock Navigator for Project Accounting

The Time Clock Navigator shows the relationships between Time Matrix by Business Computers Software, Inc., Project Accounting by Microsoft Great Plains, and Payroll by Microsoft Great Plains.  Red arrows show time transactions.  Green arrows show lookups.  Yellow descriptions show data table names.  The Time Clock uses employees entered in Payroll for lookups and verification.  The Time Clock uses contracts, projects, and cost categories entered in Microsoft Great Plains Project Accounting for lookups and verification.  The Time Clock looks at the actual Microsoft Great Plains Project Accounting data tables.  Making a change in Microsoft Great Plains Project Accounting is immediately reflected in the Time Clock.

Upon an employee changing Microsoft Great Plains projects or clocking out of the Touch Screen Time Clock, a time transaction is sent to the Logbook.  The Logbook stores all employee time transactions.  The Logbook posts to Microsoft Great Plains Project Accounting Time Sheets.  Microsoft Great Plains Time Sheets posts time transactions to Payroll.  Employee’s check processing is completed in Payroll.  The Time Clock Navigator can be used to access programs in Time Matrix, Project Accounting, and Payroll.  Clicking on a button will bring up that form.  For example, clicking on the Maintenance button in Payroll will bring up the Employee Maintenance window.  This is the same result as Cards>>Payroll USA>>Employees.  Clicking on the Employee Time button will bring up Employee Control Center.  The Time Clock Navigator makes it easy to start programs and to view their relationships.
