Bar Code Scanner
The
Time Matrix Touch Screen Time Clock can use laser "gun" bar code
scanner. It can read bar codes on employee ID badges and bar codes for
projects printed on 8 1/2" x 11" paper. It uses a laser wedge
reader and does not need a power supply. The laser bar code scanner is
very simple to install.
1) Unplug the keyboard cable from the computer.
2) Plug the keyboard cable into the bar code scanner.
3) Plug the barcode scanner into the computer where the keyboard was
plugged in.
Time
Matrix is compatible with Worth Data's LX100-WDP and LZ200-WDP Integrated Laser
Scanners. The LX200-WDP is made for an industrial setting being more
rugged with a longer scanning distance and a longer warranty. The
LZ100-WDP is priced at $634 and the LZ200-WDP is $770. Both of them need a
Y cable part #F30-1 for $25. A metal stand part #S20 is available for $69.
Time
Matrix can print bar codes. It uses Worth Data's Bar Font For Windows part
#BFW for $199 to print code 39 bar codes.
